- People were voicing interest in me doing a thumbnailing demo next week for a spaceship maybe? Soooo.... seems like I'm not able to add a poll into the widgets so in the comments, but what we'll do is you can leave a comment on this post if you'd like to skip your feedback next week (you can still post to the blog by the cut off of Friday at midnight ahead of time to get feedback!). If around half of you are fine not getting in class feedback I can do a demo probably and answer questions as I do it. You will still need to post any progress you've done through the week. Note: if you're gonna skip the in class feedback i HIGHLY recommend you post by the Friday cutoff so I can give you notes and feedback on Saturday before class.

I'm open to whatever but some of these might take a bit of prep on my end so the sooner i know the better.
Here's the 'default' timeline for your second prop:
Week 2 Deliverable:
- Reference assembled and categorized.
- Pitch for Alternative timeline
- Decision on how you want to present your design (side views, 3/4s, etc).
- Minimum 15 sketches/silhouettes/thumbnails.
Week 3 Deliverable:
- Minimum 10 tightened sketches.
Week 4 Deliverable:
- Minimum 5 tight sketches with color
Week 5 Deliverable:
- Minimum 3 of your sketches and do other views
Week 6 Deliverable:
- 3D can be introduced.
Week 7 Deliverable:
- Rendering
Week 8 Deliverable:
- Rendering and cleanup and other views
Week 9 Deliverable:
- First pass at final presentation
Week 10 Deliverable:
- Finals with presentation page and orthographics/callouts for class crit.
R**Remember, use 3D smart - if you're not super confident or it doesn't make sense to use it for your prop - avoid it. I generally think because most of you aren't pro users at 3D, you should NOT be using it in early stages. ONLY GO INTO 3D WHEN YOU HAVE A CLEAR DIRECTION. Capiche?

If you do a spaceship demo, I think it would be cool to see the initial stages of reference and thumbnailing, but if that would take too much work on your end, whatever's easier for you

I have a question about my portfolio in general that I really need to ask, but it should be shorter than a feedback session. And I would love a demo on the first ideation pass of a vehicle! I'll post the homework on the blog tonight.
